Precautions for the Online Exam
Online Exam Taker Precautions (with Generative AI Warning)★ The use of Generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) to write exam answers or solve problems is considered explicit cheating and may result in a score of zero (0 points) and severe disciplinary action upon detection. 1. When taking the exam, keep your hair neatly arranged so both ears are visible (wired or wireless earphones/earbuds are strictly prohibited). 2. Prepare so that your face is fully visible (hats and masks are prohibited). 3. Place your computer directly in front of you and your smartphone to your side, setting up the smartphone (using a tripod, books, etc., to fix its position) to clearly show: 1) the computer screen, 2) the organized desk, and 3) your face, both hands, and ears (your surroundings, including yourself, must be visible on the smartphone screen). |
<Actions Against Cheaters>

Students that have been caught engaging in any of the following acts will be considered to have cheated and will be checked-out immediately. Their exam score will be a 0. The student will need to fill out the and the student be subject to disciplinary action from the university.

A. The act of not following the exam supervisor’s request for identification or inspection of personal belongings B. The act of carrying prohibited items into the exam, or keeping them in any place contrary to the instructions of the exam supervisor C. The act of looking at other students’ answer sheets or showing one’s answer sheet to another student. D. The act of signaling to other examinees with hand gestures, sounds, etc. E. Viewing prohibited belongings or using mobile phones, electronic devices, wireless devices, etc. F. If a mobile phone, electronic device, or wireless devices makes a sound during a test, the student will be considered to have conducted an act of cheating. G. The act of forcing or threatening another examinee for answers H. A serious misconduct, such as two or more people cheating systematically and deliberately in advance. I. Requesting a proxy test or taking an exam as a substitute for the real student. J. The act of forging an identification card K. Writing answers after the end of the examination L. Other similar actions that goes against students’ duties such as cheating or past question sales |
